Enjoying Live Music Entertainment Wellington

Winding down to live music is a sure-fire way to relax and have an enjoyable evening at the same time irrespective of where one is in the world. This is particularly special when one travels to foreign destinations since it provides a chance to both relax and enjoy a country’s lifestyle and culture and at the same time meet locals at these events.

For the traveller to New Zealand there are a number of live music entertainment options in the city of Wellington. Amongst the top attractions for live performance venues in the city are Bodega, Metterhorn and Sandwiches to name a few. Bodega is considered to be a pioneer in the live music scene. In the past it was located in a heritage building, but it is now situated in a concrete cavern, though it has not diminished its popularity for hosting a variety of performances. The programme line up is always diverse and the atmosphere is very pleasant. What is more, there is a dance floor where you can let your hair down and of course great filler food to munch on.

Metterhorn also has live performances from time to time and it is also an award winning bar and restaurant. Some of the latest bands and musicians come to perform here to packed lively crowds who are as famous as the place itself! For those who are interested in DJ music and electronic artistes, the place to go is Sandwiches. The setting boasts of the city’s best sound system and features international talent catering to a varied audience with diverse tastes. Some of the other establishments that have live music are The Library and the Garden Club which attracts more of a younger crowd.

Most of the tourists who stay at the various New Zealand hotels visit these restaurants, pubs and clubs to get a real feel of the city, its people and lifestyle. Those who plan to visit the capital can make use of New Zealand hotel packages at centrally located hotels such as those offered by Millennium & Copthorne Hotels NZ which offer a truly a memorable holiday in this amazing land.
