Waiheke Island: There is something for everyone

Home to one of the most contrasting landscapes in the world, New Zealand is unlike any ordinary island. Whilst the nation offers some of the most scenic beaches in the world, the island’s terrain is such that it has a number of attractions both manmade and natural that will surprise and stun any avid traveller.
New Zealand is part of the Ring of Fire thereby making Auckland home to nearly fifty volcanic cones. While this alone projects images of brown rubble and soil with no plant growth in sight, these cones are usually home to green pastures and are ideal locations for picnics. Auckland is also home to a rainforest, a rare occurrence outside the tropical region. Likewise, Auckland,

Waiheke Island is an isle that is famous for its breathtaking and alluring beaches but a number of other activities are also available thereby making it the ideal destination for the traveller looking to combine relaxation and adventure. It is also the most accessible island in the Hauraki Gulf and is less than 20km from Auckland. Its unique terrain ensures a variety of activities for the tourist ranging from snorkelling to wine tasting. The island is a beautiful place to explore either by foot or by hiring a bike and such a tour is a truly exhilarating yet relaxing experience. In addition, a myriad of activities are available for the active tourist and one can opt to charter a yacht and sail, go fishing, take a 20 minute plane ride over the island, go kayaking or even go bowling and play golf. The isle’s rich soils and mild climate is also conducive for the growing of grapes and is therefore home to a number of wineries that produce high quality wine.
Hotels in Auckland can be found to suit every budget but for those wishing to experience five star accommodation at its very best, the Langham Auckland is a wonderful option. It has a number of high quality facilities including spa and fitness and also spectacular dining that leaves your taste buds tingling. Other than such auckland hotels, one could also opt for accommodation ranging from studios and apartments to cottages and villas. A tour of New Zealand is guaranteed to offer the very best and travellers will leave with memories to last a lifetime.
